Social Networks such as Twitter and Facebook help it's users communicate with people from around the world. For example, when Mrs. Bird was not here, she posted/tweeted to students about a difficult project. By this, students were able to gain knowledge about what to do.
These skills are being addressed by the collaboration amongst students nation wide. Such things like outsourcing videos and communicating with students for good projects.
It enables students to prepare for their future jobs. For example, students were to work in teams but some teammates weren't as active as other members, so teammates had to step in and do their job to get the project done. By this, students are able to not depend entirely on their teammates but become the "hero of the day." This is a good preparation for students to grow up as strong independent individuals in the work field.
I'll be more active in projects instead of being a slacker or the least active member in the team. If everybody is 100% active and involved in the project, then more good results will come out of it. With more collaboration and communication amongst teammates, then the better outcome there is. -This flat classroom project has helped me be a more independent individual in projects because my teammates weren't as active as I'd hope they be. This has helped me become my own self-collaborater. As a self-collaborater, I can use these skills to help people over online as well as myself.
